Q) Do we have the following political devide?
Reps for parents rights and life, dems for questionable husband and dying?
A) In a lot of peoples minds that's it. It is really is tradition, common sense, belief in moral spiritual thingsand somekind of abstract notion of right, which OF COURSE all the REAL notions of right we have ALL the constitutional rights we have are derived from that religious tradition.
Q) Do you think that this is a clash of forced, that the religious political forces are heading for a train wreck with the secular legal forces in this country.
A) Yea I mean one could put more nuances to that but consider
the husbands arguement - it's about the right to die and HER wishes as expressed to him. The parents arguement is this is our daughter let us hold her untill she dies untill god takes her - which argument trumps here? The husbands agruments is hopelessly abstract and the parents argument every one can understand and sympathise with.
So according to Bill, now legal and CONSTITUTIONAL side equals EVIL, IMMORAL DEMOCRATE and the war IS coming!
But of course I am just wearing a tin-foil hat when I say theocracy.
