Contrary to the faith-based beliefs of secular historians, there is no evidence that dance evolved over time. Much like language and biological life, god created dance some time within the last 4000 years, as recorded in the bible. Dancists and neo-dancists will claim that there is no evidence for spontaneous emergence of dance, but what they don’t want you to know is that the evolution of dance is highly controversial and is on the brink of being totally discredited in academia.
Just look at dance. It’s graceful, poetic, rhythmic, breath-taking, awe-inspiring. It can be used to communicate power, happiness, sadness, or even a political point of view. Secular historians would have you believe that dance slowly developed over time by small random changes made by drunk teenagers, reefer-smoking barbarians, and sex-obsessed Latinos. This is clearly impossible. A random process could never produce the wonder that is dance. Dance is too well crafted to be anything but the design of all knowing god who is also white and male and hates gays.
Did you know that dance is perfectly crafted to fit music? It’s true. Obviously, there is no way a random process could do this. God created dance.
Some secular historians will ignorantly point to historical records to prove the age of each dance style, but this has long been revealed as a fraud. Did you know that one time, a history major once dated a song to 1923, when it was really written only a few years ago? A fellow at the IAYED (institute for the advancement of young earth dance), using the same historical records as dancists and neo-dancists, dated a song he just wrote to over 30 million years old.
Secular historians will also point to the similarity of dance styles from around the globe, but this only points to a common designer. They will also point to the hierarchical nature of different dance styles and the development of dance, which shows the same picture whether we look at geography, ethic groups, or historical records. However, god just created different dance styles on different continents because he felt like it. Salsa came from South America because he chose to put it there and no where else. Kabuki Theater is only seen in Japan because that’s where he put it, and we already know how unreliable the historical record is.
Dancists and neo-dancists will also point to new forms of dance that have evolved in the last few decades, but this is not macro-evolution, it is just micro-evolution. Of course, small changes in dance style are going to occur, anyone who does dance could tell you this, but dance only changes within kinds of dance. For example, much of modern western dance is variations on Jazz dance and ballet. We’ve never seen any new kinds of dances, and we never will.
This also ignores a plethora of evidence against the possibility of macro-evolution, for example, missing links in the claimed evolution between modern dance and Jazz. Also, some dances run on an 8 count, while other dances run on a 6 count. Small changes over time could never cause an 8 count dance to become a 6 count. 6 count dances are irreducibly complex. Furthermore, beneficial changes to dance have never been recorded. Just look at crunking for Pete’s sake.
Dancists also cannot explain how the first dance was created, when it was created, and if you are going to claim that dance evolved, then you have to show that humans evolved and how the earth came to be and what happened at the beginning of the universe and what’s in my pocket.

Did you know the kids in the Columbine massacre believed in the evolution of dance?
Did you know Einstein, believed to be the smartest man alive other than King Solomon, had this to say about dance “I…[don’t]…[believe]…in the theory of…[dance]…evolution”
