I have been listening to Darkness Radio for sometime and I enjoy the total banality and how Dave Schrader allows the guests to babble on making fools of themselves, however, I was listening to the show from 7th August 2014 in which Mark Anthony, a psychic lawyer, gets in touch with dead people for anyone who rings up.

He asks the callers to only give a first name and maybe a birth sign, but doesn't allow them to give any more info. He then gets in touch with someone from the spirit world and tells them some BS.

Now I don't believe any more than most of you guys that he's talking to anyone except the living, however, I do believe that he should give lessons in cold reading. The guys is brilliant! I've seen a great many people do it, but rarely just with a little information over the phone, and then home in so quickly for the kill.

I think we should get an award going for best cold reader, and for my nomination I put up Mr Mark Anthony.

Anybody else got any nominations?

How do you know that the information you heard on air is all the information he has on them? Maybe some call handler gets more info prior to putting them through and then googles them?

That's not really the point I'm making. Just listen to him and you'll see the CR techniques being used perfectly.

Back in my Tarrot Card reading days, I was fairly good at cold reading. I didn't even have to look up at the subjects' facial reactions, as I gleaned positive or negative reactions from the movement of their hands on the table by the spread. Thankfully, they were all pretty "antsie" just having an authentic reading done by a local drunken divi. And, no money changed hands; I was invited by the bar-tender to do readings for her friends, and all I asked was free drinks. (which helped me better tune into the intuitive channel which raced thru the aether surrounding us...) I was damned good!

I guess I'm the opposite of this; I'm the nightmare of cold readers. I've never met a professional who could read me.

Granted, he's not as cold as he used to be, before he was unfrozen.

I will agree that doing it on the phone is more difficult than face to face (people provide all sorts of clues in their style of dress, hair style, jewelry, gait, posture, and expressions).

Next week I'll look for some of this guy's work.

Well, it's probably cause im a guitarist...but I am getting pretty strong signals from you about your musical tastes, which tend more towards old school rock a la early Van Halen or Judas priest, whereas im more of a pure technique guy, my early influences were guys like Satriani and Eric Johnson.
Anyhow...im distinctly hearing an 'I' sound, maybe female?...'Isabelle' perhaps?? any thoughts on this???

Milburn! Come here quickly. This man knows all about us.

Ike & Tina?
Irene Cara?
Issac Hayes?

They are all in my AppleTunes library.

Now don't mess up my reading with Hutch, Ladewig, you skeptics mess with my energy frequency perception...but yeah you definitely seem like an Isaac Hayes kinda guy, especially since im reading you from near South Park, CO :D
