A big thank you to SkepticScott and his wonderful crew of volunteers for making things run so smoothly at TAM 3. Special thanks to Scott for getting everyone organized and for being there whenever I needed him. Thanks to Claus for never leaving the merchandise table, to Renata for making sure everyone got their t-shirts, to Suezoled for taking charge of cashiering, and especially to Kitten for all her work both before and during (and after) the conference. Things went so smoothly because of all of you...and I apologize for not naming everyone in this thread, but I'm at home right now, and not thinking clearly because I'm so tired. Mercutio, Girl6, Ed and Pete Baehr, Hutch, Larry, Kittynh, Jeff Wagg, Paul, Hal, so many others.....thank you!

TAM conferences are a labor of love. Getting a conference organized was my pet project from the first week I started working at JREF, and I was pleased to be able to point Randi to the forum when affirmation of the desire for a conference was first voiced several months later. We've grown from 250 for TAM1 to almost 400 for TAM2 to over 550 for TAM 3. At some point, these conferences will need a designated staff member to organize and control them if we want them to continue to grow and get more professional. If it wasn't for the volunteers, we'd never be able to produce what recent attendees just experienced, and we certainly won't be able to do it next year without our volunteers, so thank you, thank you, thank you!

I think I am also speaking for the other volunteers when I say: thank you for your appreciation. It is not at all a natural thing these days for volunteer work to be appreciated; much more often, it just gets taken for granted, or the volunteers even earn depreciating comments for not doing even more. For that reason, allow me to express my heartfelt appreciation of the appreciation I recieved from you (:)) - not to mention that the volunteer work was in itself lots of fun. If I can make it to any of the future TAMs, I will certainly volunteer again.

Also - and I guess here I speak for everyone who attended any Amazing Meeting - I would like to thank you with all my heart for all the work you have done to make the Amazing Meeting happen. I don´t know how much appreciation you receive for that work (besides the chocolate I gave you ;)), but I know that, however much it is, it´s not enough for what you have done.

Extra double ditto to what Chaos said. And let's not forget all the hard work that Carl and Kramer put in, too. I love you guys!

Yes, a BIG thank you to all of the volunteers!

Thanks so much to Skeptic Scott, Suezoled, Claus Larsen, Ed and Steve Baehr, Kiless and husband, and many others!

Also, a BIG thank-you to Linda for organizing yet another wonderful TAM and to Karl for his many skills-- among them his auctioneering talents!!!

Anytime. It was a pleasure to be "back stage". Not exactly hard work, though... All perks and no sweat.

Actually, the book table was a pretty lousy spot. I had to deal with the fact that I was able to see and hear everything, whilst being able to stretch my legs and wander around a bit. I also got to meet and talk with a lot of people. It was such a drag!!

(Dibs on the book table at TAM4, 5, 6 and 7!)

Oh, just one thing: Don't call us "volunteers". Call us "Crew". It sounds much cooler... ;)

Yes, it was a pleasure. May the next year be even better.

please also accept my thanks. I regularly demanded instant volunteers to respond to a particular problem, and Scott and company were always ready to help. In the military we have what is called a "mission orientation." That means we need to have the job done, regardless of credit taking. Scott and his folks were great, in that I'd say "I need this done" and I'd hear back 'Ok, it's done" and it would be. :) A specific example would be the need at the very last minute for folks to pass out the programs for Julia's show.

Claus, I know I give you a great deal of grief, but I want you to know, my friend, I look forward to TAM4, so that I can do it all over again! :) Sorry to have been unsocial at the airport on Monday, I was so exhausted I didn't even realize I had been rude until the next day.

That would require a miracle. But, hey...I only want to see the evidence... ;)

Not at all. You can't help being an Army guy... ;)

You weren't rude at all. You were on standby, and anxious to get home, which I also was. Were we tired, mentally? Oh, yes...

Have you tried out the headphones? I've been meaning to get a pair myself, but have not tried them. The price sucks, but if they really drown out the noise....

One of the highlights of the trip for me was getting to have dinner with Hal, Linda, and Carl at the Peppermill. I was helping to put the Lance Burton tickets in the envelope and missed the Thai dinner, so they invited me along. Walking across the street with that crew (which also included Mr. Randi) is a moment I'll treasure for a long time.

...(shamelessly dragging this out as it was the first time I pulled it off)... do you NOT want me to bring that dress again next year?

You call pull off your dress anytime... ;)

I ADORED Suez's dress and it was almost as classy as she was. I'm so jealous!!!

Man, did you miss out! I'm out shopping tomorrow in the hope of finding one like it!

As a volunteer I have only one thing to complain about, and I have mentioned this to Scott, I did not have enough to do. Still I did appreciate to see all the speakers up close and not from the back of the room.

If for next year there will also be a forum both I am sure that there will be more to do, so I am looking forward to that.

Friend of mine who is 5 feet 10 inches gave that to me. She filled it out much better. ...!

The tag says Rampage and the web site is:

http://www.rampage.com

Bad news is: That dress isn't sold there anymore

Good news: Rampage has all sorts of pretty things. The sales section is also pretty good

deBergerac, the joy of working with you was part of what made it excellent for both Gaz and I. If we are not there for TAMIV, we will miss you!

Are you asking about the Bose ones? If so yes they are expensive, but they are fantastic for flights.
