A number of Islamic (religion of peace) terror suspects have been arrested under anti-terror warrants across the London area. Police arent saying how many or what they found, but of course the press are babbling about bomb-making equipment.

Given the number of previous arrests and the much smaller number of actual trials- one has to hope that they got the right guys this time!

Well, They wouldn’t have been arrested if they weren’t up to something and fortunately there is a precedent for this type of thing. We should immediately whisk them off to some godforsaken hell hole (Essex) and keep them in detention for a year before releasing them without charge or apology.

I first thought the title of the thread read "Terror attacks in London." I'm very happy I was wrong about that.

I hope they get good intel off the suspects. I also hope that this is a legit arrest (i.e., no mistakes made).

It seems they found 500kg of ammonium nitrate fertiliser- same stuff used to make the Bali bomb.

I hope these F&$^rs enjoy getting bum-raped in Belmarsh!

from: Philippines bomb plot 'thwarted' - Tuesday, 30 March, 2004

Security forces in the Philippines have thwarted a plot to bomb civilian targets on the scale of the Madrid attacks, the president has said. Gloria Macapagal Arroyo said forces had seized explosives which were to have been used to bomb trains and shopping centres in the capital, Manila. She said the suspects were from the Abu Sayyaf group...

"We have pre-empted a Madrid-level attack on the metropolis by capturing an explosive cache of 80 pounds [36 kg] of TNT which was intended to be used for bombing malls and trains in Metro Manila," President Arroyo said on national television.

The Abu Sayyaf, which is fighting for a separate Muslim state, has been linked by both Washington and Manila to the al-Qaeda network, and both countries class the group as a terrorist organisation.
