Telekinesis is a fact?

I have been arguing on the TAPS Forum (www.tapsforums.com) that telekinesis is not a proven fact.

Of course since this is a ghost hunters and paranormal forum, they explain a lot of things on the ghosthunters show as caused by telekinesis or possible poltergeist activity involving the children.

I have argued to my knowledge that there is no research I know of that proves Telekinesis or even poltergeist activity.

I got a personal message with some links as a responce: (See below)

Heres some links for you. Id like to point out that this isnt conspiricy theory, its been proven that both sides have funded (and are probably still funding) projects involving parapsycology ( the KGB also funded projects for ghosts to be used as weapons and study of UFOs, if your interested). During the cold war, there was pretty much an all out psychic war if youll believe it. Ill try to see what else I can find tomorrow. You can also google Nina Kulagina, stargate etc. if you want to find stuff yourself. Happy reading 8)

Anyway, I guess a lot of this type of research went on, but I still am not convinced of the success of any of it.

Is there any evidence of telekinesis that anyone knows of? Or of poltergeist activity. Has research been done on this? Just wondering what others could contribute on this, or questions that I could put forward.

So far as I know, everyone who has claimed to be able to perform telekenisis has been exposed as a fraud. There are a variety of conjuring/stage magic tricks that have been used by such people, but clever magicians like Randi are familiar with all of 'em.

Send them on in!

If they can prove telekinesis, then they'll be $1,000,000US richer.

Just a thought.

Oh man, I thought Jambo was the only one who cites Nina Kulagina as proof that telekinesis exists.
It's funny, though, that a skilled magician can produce exactly the same effects without using telekinesis.

I'm not aware of Stargate offering any evidence for telekenisis.

There's a book called (off the top of my head): "The Men who Stare at Goats".

It's about the USA's "psychic soldiers" during the cold war and beyond.

It doesn't debunk telekinesis per se, but it does show up the standard of "research" that went on. Let's just say it was not of a high standard. ;)

Yes, the military were involved in psychic research. It just showed up the fact that woo's are in the military too, not that there was anything useful in what they did.
