In a MLM system, everyone is convinced that they are at or near the top of the newest scheme to bring in more money. The people participating are told that it takes money to make money. Therefore, you (usually by invitation) were invited usually by someone higher than you in the pyramid scheme to participate in this money making opportunity usually by being a distribitor of some product with some of the profits going in the pockets of the distributor. After you learn how to sell and set up distribution channels, you go out and find people under you that will do the legwork of making the money that will sell and distribute the product and force the cash flow back to your hands prior to the people under you seeing their money. You as a distributor are also under this system because your source above you sees his share of the money before you get to see your share of the money. As you get more and more people to be your distributors and those people get others to become buyers and distributors, the base of the pyramid broadens, more levels are created below you, and it appears that you have moved up to a higher level on the pyramid scheme. Therefore the rooting of the foundations are from the top going down. The corporate church of today has applied the same principles to church building and growth.
We have made God into a 30 minute infomercial where we can get rich both finacially and Spiritually at the snap of our fingertips if we "name it and claim it", buy pastor so-and-so's ten part teaching series on getting rich quick, or "get the 'godkind' of faith". To not suceed in this means that you are either not annointed or you "lack faith". We have built churches with the same type of structure.

Now onto Hinn:
My problem with Hinn isnt Doctrine,my problem is that he is defrauding Christians with his lie that he can heal people.
I believe there are faith healers, but from what I and many others have seen I see Oral Roberts and Benny Hinn and R. W. Shambach and others on TBN who are known by many to be frauds.
I by the way will never forget the time that R. W. Shambach was "burning the debts" of everyone who sent in their "financial need".
What a farce!
Shambach was stoking the fire, by tossing in the notes from those who had called in their debts, (along with their $1000 pledges, of course!).
As the smoke was rising up, Shambach blurted out:
quote:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This smoke is pouring right through the devil's living room! Let's make the devil angry tonight. Call in your financial need right now, & we'll burn it up. The smoke from your need will go right through the devil's living room. And when calling in your financial need, make your Seed Faith pledge to TBN.

Finella:
we all should do that and I for one would like to Skeptics groups go after Van Impe and others like they have done with Sylvia Browne
I want you to know by the way:
http://www.raptureready.com/rap37.html
which shows that people are waking up to Van Impe at least.
Thanks for the info Finella and I hope the frauds like Van Impe and Parsley and Hinn are exposed cause it sickens me to my stomach how any Christian can be so stupid to give them money despite what is commonly known about these frauds.
