My wife is cruelly kicking me out of our room at TAM IV on Friday night, to make room for the pajama partiers. I thought perhaps we could get a handful of fellow multiclass Skeptic/Gamers and get together for an RPG. Perhaps a troll hunt, so you guys can feel right at home.

I already have one potential victim.....errrr.......player in Chaos. Anyone else up for it?

There is alot happening on Friday but MAYBE I can squeeze you in. I'd like to but a day of RPGing isn't much. I like sessions over a period of months.

name the game. I'd love to get a game session in, even if it's only a single scenario/session.

Probably only a single session and probably D&D, because it's likely the one that most people know.

So do I but getting a single game together with near strangers is fun sometimes too.

Oh dear lord... I am now planning to bring MtG to TAM. What is wrong with me?

Think I'll just rest after a VERY long flight in from Sydney...

Well, I am not into pyjama party notion but a games night, yes always :D

I will bring Munchkin and Killer Bunnies for fun, if anyone wants goofy games. And my ccg decks almost always travel with me, but I don't know if anyone is going to want to play L5R :p

I would always rather play in mixed crowd rather than just hanging out with other females.

.

L5R?!?!?!

I got rid of all my L5R cards years ago (small town, few oppononents, old story), but I loved that game.

PS. You just reminded me, I could always bring "Kill Dr Lucky"

Oh dear lord... other card game people...

What should I bring? L5R (haven't played in years, couldn't make a good deck)
Legend of the Burning Sands
Doomtown
Illuminati
Magic
Spycraft
7th Sea
Other?

I can even make passable decks for one or two of them.

The only CCG I have is some game based on the Dragon Ball manga and anime series (I think it's called Animayhem or something). The cards are pretty funny, and the game mechanics look OK, but I've never actually played it since I didn't have anyone to play it with.

If anyone has robo-rally or something, now that's a fun game for up to 8 people.

Me! Me me me! I'll totally play Munchkin or D&D or whatever else y'all wanna introduce me too.

New environment now, Lotus, game is a blast to play. I will bring some of my starter decks and new cards.

I haven't play Kill Dr Lucky in a long time, would love to play again.

I do have other ccgs, Lord of the Rings, Fullmetal Alchemist, .hack. .hack is an easy game to play, fun and fast. Have multiple decks of that. I learned Spycraft at GenCon, but don't remember much of it, too many games played there and too little sleep.

Me and some friends always enjoy a few rounds of Perudo over a few decent Scotch and cigars.

As much as I want to meet and hang out with my fellow skepchicks, I am seriously tempted to you all. It's been many, many years since I've gotten to play any sort of pen & paper role playing game. Oh decisions, decisions! :(

Ditto. Except I can chit chat with you guys and hang out at other times. There's no one to game with in L.A. I'm all rusty! And deprived!

I seriously should get some sort of world-wide conspiracy going where a bunch of people like LostAngeles, Clarsct and their ilk get a letter insisting that they move to the most isolated city in the world (Perth) for their own health and wellbeing and join Friday night gaming sessions. :(

Perhaps schedule the gaming session half an hour after PJ party starts? That way the ladies could at least drop in to say hi? I recall from last year it was an informal scenario anyway with people popping in and out. :) Or just OUT in the case of the Bad Astronomer! :p

(Says she who can't even go this year - argh! )

Wow, more interest than I thought, we have tha makings for our own mini-con going here.:D

Anyway, I was thinking we have to decide what we are doing. As I said, I would be willing to GM an RPG but the question is, what game? My initial thought was D&D because nearly everyone is familiar with it.

Chaos also suggested this, as an alternative, since it seems designed for the kind of one-off type of game we would be playing. It looks interesting.

I am also open to any suggestions anyone may have. I am familiar with a LOT of systems.
