• Quick note - the problem with Youtube videos not embedding on the forum appears to have been fixed, thanks to ZiprHead. If you do still see problems let me know.

The TAM 7 website is now live! Registration is open, the speaker list is there, and there was much rejoicing.

Feel free to comment here. If you find any problems with the site, please feel free to contact Jeff or me so we can take a look.

Enjoy! I can't wait for July! I hope to see as many Forumites there as possible!

I just registered BA - thanks for the heads up. You might want to make sure that people know that workshops are available - it wasn't obvious to me how to register for them, and I didn't notice them until my second pass through the site. Other than that, it went reasonably smoothly.

Phil and/or Jeff, check your email. I just sent you a note about a error in the image tag on the main TAM page.

Thanks DI. I see what the problem was; it had to do with constrained proportions. And the weirdness that is our CMS. I fixed it.

Somewhere obvious you need to state when TAM7 officially begins on Thursday. Otherwise people won't know when to arrive in Vegas. Does it begin with the usual get-together on Thursday evening, or earlier?

I think with (at least some) previous TAMs, there has been some sort of (attempt at a) theme. Can't find any for this year. Actually I think that's a good thing, I only attended TAM5 so far, and on average I enjoyed the speakers who had been shoehorned into the theme more than the ones who had (probably) been invited mainly because they fit the theme.

This year's theme is "Building a Better Life With Amway and Colon Irrigation".

I also heard the doors will be locked once we're all inside.

I was looking up the hotel prices on i4vegas.com and the rates are lower then the Randi discount. Do you know why that is? I'll try and get some more information on that but i just wanted to know how the Randi discount is different from others.

thank

Thank Phil!

The hotel section is so much more organized now and I like the fact that I can apply online now instead of calling. Plus the 80$ per weeknights is a nice little bonus.

That's excellent. I think that's enough to make me go with the TAM rate. Maybe I could possibly save $25 by booking somewhere else, but I have a feeling (based on no real tangible evidence) that when you book through some of these websites offering the absolute lowest costs, you may end up with the very worst rooms available in a hotel. That, plus it's worth a little extra to stay close to other TAM visitors. Even if we're not allowed to have parties in the rooms!

So wait -- does booking in the JREF bloc of rooms guarantee close proximity to other TAM attendees? I don't think that's been the case before. But if it is, then it would definitely be worth it to book through the hotel. I love the idea of staying on an all-TAM floor.
