Here are Sylvia's tour dates for 2010. Unfortunately, so to speak, none are anywhere close to where I am. http://www.sylviabrowne.com/pg/jsp/general/appearances.jsp Any use in distributing flyers introducing the StopSylvia site at some of these venues? Her advertising company must be costing a pretty penny - I got the advert in the mail and the closest venue is a 7-hour drive.

I've highlighted some of the reasons I would not go on this "trip of a lifetime".

Come along with me on a "trip of a lifetime". To be able to be with spiritual people of like mind and to be able to visit the Holy Land where the history of spirituality got a start and then culminating in Egypt, a land of wonder and mystery, is the only way to begin to describe this journey. Experiencing these two beautiful countries from a spiritual perspective is truly life changing. Very few times do these opportunities present themselves, and this is certainly one of them. Even in this period of hard times, you still have to feed your soul with knowledge and grace. I will be with you every step of the way and give you insight you may never have heard or thought of along with the best accommodations and catering for you and your needs. This is the last time I will go to this part of the world, so let's make a "trip of a lifetime" together.
Sylvia Browne
Itinerary Includes:

  • 4 workshops in Israel with Sylvia Browne
  • 2 Workshops in Egypt with Sylvia Browne
  • Invited dignitaries to give lectures
Obviously she has borrowed the "Egypt, land of wonder and mystery" meme from Zahi Hawass, and the whole schtick from watching too many crappy cable TV specials about highly speculative (nay, wacky) theories on Egyptian history.

But note that I would not in a million years ruin what could be an excellent journey by spending any time or money on some gravel-voiced crackpot woman who is on the same bus as me.

How gullible are people,I wonder?

What I believe to be paranormal is the public's faith in this piece of trash...after she has been proven to be a fake. My gawd, the hurt she has caused so many people with her false information. I worry about the human race.

If she ever comes to Edmonton again,I would be happy to pass out the StopSylvia flyers. I wonder if she is laughing her big ass off while she is raking in the money. I am willing to believe that she doesnt believe in her own powers...she is taking the piss with everyone and having a high ole time. I think some of the psychics have themselves convinced that they have psychic ability...or they have been raised in an environment of magical thinking but Sylvia is a con artist.

She doesn't even look charismatic...just cheap and trashy. I do not understand the appeal.

I remember seeing her once or twice on television when I was still sitting on the fence about my belief system...I sorta believed or wanted to. I dont watch the tube but my cousin was over and had the television on. I was appalled at her bs and knew she was a fraud. I could have slapped my cousin for being in awe of her.

When I was a psych student, our prof invited a psychic to visit the college and address the psych majors......he actually believed in parapsychology and taught some theory in it..otherwise,he was a sensible teacher...this was his blindspot. Anyway, he sorta dared the psychic to put his money where his mouth was and confront all of us in the lecture hall. He agreed to reimburse him for his trip and put him up in a hotel room for the night. We all took time out of our busy schedule to go to this evening talk. He didnt show up at all. I think he chickened out and I am not sure if my prof,Louis, actually sent him fare money or not...if he did, serves him right for being so silly...lol

More like a list of places to avoid if you ask me. That said I'm a bit of a masochist when it comes to this stuff. I'd be crawling inside but I'd love to see a train wreck.

I wonder if someone could talk her into making a detour through Saudi Arabia? I hear it is quite pleasant this time of year, especially if you enjoy predicting the future and communicating with the dead...

MECCA! I will pay for her first class plane ticket. Really she could get up and talk to everyone about what her angels say about the place and, you know, do some psychic stuff.

Maybe she won't find her way out of the Great Pyramid of Giza - but then the loud chirping would probably wake the mummies.

I hope Montel is booked in the seat next to her - t'would serve him right.

MECCA - I like that.

Oh no! Much simpler and cheaper and quicker to do a disposal! Get her to climb to the top of the Great Pyramid unaided (tell her there is free money at the top!). At midday.

We could make bets as to how far she climbs before turning into Jabba the Hutt. I'm starting the book at 2 levels of blocks (about 4 meters, 12 feet).
