I predict the President elected sometime between 2008 and 2020 will die in office from a heart attack. The Vice President who will finish their term will have an unpopular and mistaken intention to declare war on North Korea. By that time, North Korea will have weapons of mass destruction. In the middle of efforts to declare war, I predict the Vice President will be assassinated.

I like the amount of time she gives herself for that to happen.

Nice postdiction on the DPRK WMDs too.

I predict Sylvia Browne will be dead before we know this one is a failure (i.e. before 2025).

I predict that a small cubicle will become available in doctor’s offices sometime in 2009 and it will be heated to a very precise temperature. There may be a special vapor placed into the cubicle.

My doctors has always had one of these. It's called a toilet.

predicted heat therapy for common cold

Sylvia is wrong that the first response of the body to the common cold is fever. In fact, the common cold is not generally associated with fever.

Also, placing humans into a special cubicle "heated to a precise temperature" would not be expected to alter the human body temperature significantly because humans have internal thermoregulatory systems. When the environment is too warm we sweat and turn pink. When the environment is too cold our hair stands on end and we turn white. The heated cubicle would not be a clinically reliable way to regulate body temperature.

I predict that her prediciton will not be realized. Does my being correct make me psychic?

"I predict we can truly say “goodbye” to the common cold in 2009 or 2010. The solution to the common cold involves heat. Keep in mind that the body’s first response when we develop a cold is to come down with a fever. Many doctors today no longer rush to push patients to take temperature reducing medications when they come down with a fever, unless the fever is dangerous. They feel the immune system is the patient’s best medicine and should be given a chance to fight back. So as the immune system fights a cold with heat, the cure for the common cold certainly may lie in this first signal to heal.

I predict that a small cubicle will become available in doctor’s offices sometime in 2009 and it will be heated to a very precise temperature. There may be a special vapor placed into the cubicle. Patients will stand in the cubicle for approximately five minutes and the rhinitis germ will be destroyed."

another prediction

I also predict that a friend of Sylvia's will invent and market a body-temp-adjusting cubicle that can be purchased online to treat the common cold in the home or at the office of the CAM practitioner.

I am too much of a noob to post a link but enter {heat common cold} as keywords into google. Let us know WOOt you find.

Yeah. We wouldn't want to pin poor ol' Sylvia down to any of her 2010 predictions actually happening in 2010. That would be uncalled for. :D

An older gentleman with a highly stressful job, dying of a heart attack...that's a powerful psychic power Sylvie's got going on.

Which Vice President? The one who assumed the Presidency or the one who took his place as Vice President? If she means the first option, well, which is it-he'll declare war or he'll be assassinated in the middle of his efforts to declare war?

…Children are not properly fed, clothed, educated, protected or given adequate medical care. …Many in our population do not have a place to call home.
…Some of our youth get more attention from gangs and drug dealers than they do positive role models.
…People who are ready, willing and able to work cannot find decent jobs.
…Our elderly are not cared for properly either financially or medically.
It's a shame that there are people out there who rely on Browne to "predict" this for them.

I predict a great rise in skin cancer in children until 2010. There is a lot of media coverage about the UV rays and many products to protect people against them. But people are still often careless when it comes to the sun. Then again, people could pay attention - and reverse this prediction right out from under me. I would certainly be all for that!

So, she wins either way! How nice for her.

I predict hypnotic past-life regression will become available through a group of trained psychologists on both the east and west coasts of the U.S.A. in 2009. It will prove to be quite a success and will be widely practiced by 2011.

A success as long as evidence is not called for. And I'm sure that she would be more than happy to be the one training the psychologists. For a small fee, of course.

Wait a second...in 2009? Why is she making predictions for 2009 on January 1, 2010?

I wondered about that too. The article is dated December 30 2009, but says it's predictions for 2009, 2010. Shouldn't it be postdictions and predictions?

Make that a big fee - $2000 according to her hypnosis school web site.

Because she seems to have pulled most all of that directly out of her book Prophecy this year. Maybe she failed to notice that she has them covering a span of years.

She also predicts in that book that this year police departments will begin to openly advocate the use of psychics in their investigations. Good thing we know her accuracy rate or that might have been alarming.

Ah Ha! Sylvia slips up and accidentally reveals her true Reptilian nature.

I watched a video of her on her website with more predictions for next year:

*Obama is "doing fine" and there will be some kind of health care reform.

*2012 is not the end of the world. "The Mayans ran out of ink."

*We should watch out for trains in re: terrorism.

*There will be new Xray machines in airports like something she saw in an Arnold Schwarzenegger movie.

The last two amused me. For the trains, first she's talking about terrorism and how she's been talking about trains and terrorism for the last three years. Then she says there's been 200 train accidents in America. Train accidents does not equal train terrorism.

Then the Xray machines...don't we already have those? People all up in arms that you can see underneath clothes and see their bits and pieces?

If anyone else wants to watch it, it's here: http://www.sylviabrowne.com/video?chartID=310&pid=7247

Predictions

Sylvia came out with these predictions at the end of 2008 I believe. I remember sending the one about skin cancer to RSL and remarking on how Sylvia covers herself on that one!!

I cannot find the exact date of the article but on the Spirit Now website is where I initially saw the information.

Does anyone have a link to how successful her predictions for 2009 were (not)?
