A recent interview with Sylvia Browne:

Sylvia Browne's 2012 predictions, and her claim Steve Jobs was someone famous in another life
MLive.com

By John Gonzalez

To say that Sylvia Browne has a cult following is like saying Steve Jobs used to run a little company called Apple.
...
After a meet and greet with some staff and friends at the Little River Casino in Manistee, I spent about 10 minutes with Sylvia, asking some basic information and also getting an idea of what fans could expect from her show. (She has several more dates on her 50th Anniversary Tour schedule, including shows May 13 at the Soaring Eagle Casino in Mt. Pleasant and May 20 at the Kewadin Casino in Sault Ste. Marie.)
...
During her two-hour lecture at Little River Casino, she mentioned her next book, and that her "chin dropped" when she learned who Apple's Steve Jobs was in a former life.

Of course, she doesn't spill the beans, but she said it makes sense that it would be another famous person from history.

As for her 2012 predictions:

• It's going to be a mild winter....and long summer in the Midwest (including Michigan).

• The housing market will improve, and people will start spending more money.

President Obama will NOT be re-elected as President of the United States.

• More tornadoes in Middle America; more hurricanes.

• More earthquakes and natural disasters in Japan.

A cure for Multiple Sclerosis will be found.

• More research and insights will come out about Autism, which has to do with genetics.

Part lecture, comedy routine and some homespun advice, Sylvia's talks typically grip her mostly female audience and keep them on the edge of their seats.

She "predicts" natural disasters in disaster prone regions, where every year something happens. Nothing impressive, except for the Obama prediction. Because she previously "predicted":

On December 27, 2006 Browne said this about the 2008 and 2012 elections:

DATE: December 27, 2006 Wednesday
SHOW: THE MONTEL WILLIAMS SHOW 4:00 PM EST
SYLVIA BROWNE: PREDICTIONS 2007
...

...

DJ WEBSTAR: Sylvia, I wanna know, when are we gonna have a black president?

SYLVIA BROWNE: God, I wish we would have one next time. I love what's his name, starts with a B. What's his name?

MONTEL WILLIAMS: Barack Obama.

BROWNE: I love him. I love him.

WILLIAMS: You know him, Barack Obama, okay. What do you think? Is this country--when do you think in the next one, two, three...

BROWNE: Eight years.

WILLIAMS: Eight years...

BROWNE: Yeah, we will have a black president.

WILLIAMS: Will it be an African American female or male?

BROWNE: Oh, please God, if we have a female president, I'm leaving the country.
...

Ok, in 2006 she predicted a black president in 8 years. 2006+8= 2014. There is a presidential election in 2012 and 2016. If there will be a black president will be in office he or she will have to be elected to that office or an office where one has the ability of becoming the president in 2012. No one currently running for the 2012 Republican nomination is "black".

Two years later she "leans McCain," but "sticks with Barack Obama" while "doing a double thing." In 2008:
A video from her posted on October 9, 2008.

Question: Who will be elected Barack Obama or John McCain

Browne: It's getting very close and I don't know. I really thought at one time that it might be Barack, but I'm leaning a little bit towards John McCain now. That sounds like I'm doing a double thing, but I'm still going to stick with Barack Obama because I think people need a new regime. I really do.

The election wasn't even close. Popular votes were 69,456,897 for Obama to 59,934,814 and the Electoral vote 365 for Obama to 173.

In 2010, she was asked about Obama's re-election:
Psychic Sylvia Browne comes to OC ‎
OC Register

June 25, 2010

...
Q: Is Obama going to make one term? Or two?

A: I'm worried about him. If he goes into a second term, I hate to be a predictor of bad (news), but I'm very concerned that if he's elected a second time that there could be an assassination.
...

Ok, she thinks "if he goes into a second term" something will happen. What type of prediction is that?

Also this is the same psychic who predicted Bill Bradley winning in 2000 and an unnamed Democrat winning in 2004. She also thought Kerry would in 2008, even though he didn't run. More here.

Well, if Sylvia says he's not going to be re-elected, why should I waste my vote on him? Since MS is going to be cured, maybe I'll vote for the guy who wrote this.

While there is more than a month before the election, here is an article by Josh Barro. Barro is a political journalist, not a psychic, for bloomberg.com.

Today, Mitt Romney Lost the Election
By Josh Barro

You can mark my prediction now: A secret recording from a closed-door Mitt Romney fundraiser, released today by David Corn at Mother Jones, has killed Mitt Romney's campaign for president.

On the tape, Romney explains that his electoral strategy involves writing off nearly half the country as unmoveable Obama voters. As Romney explains, 47 percent of Americans "believe that they are victims." He laments: "I'll never convince them they should take personal responsibility and care for their lives."

So what's the upshot? "My job is not to worry about those people," he says. He also notes, describing President Obama's base, "These are people who pay no income tax. Forty-seven percent of Americans pay no income tax."

This is an utter disaster for Romney.

I think I remember Sylvia Browne. I used to see her every week on the Montel Show telling families who are missing a loved one that they have died or are still alive. Not that there's anything wrong with that, except she doesn't really know. :)

What Sylvia didn't predict was, as SNL said, Obama has a secret weapon to help him win the election - Mittwitt Romney

I also find it funny that she was wrong about the seemingly safe bet on autism too. New research has come out on autism (of course it has, it comes out every year) but that research is regarding a possible connection between autism and imbalances in the micro-flora of the human digestive system not genetics.

Well, I guess that bodes well for Obama. The woman seems to be uncannily good at failing her future predictions, or at least those predictions that are not given facts of life (Japan has earthquakes every day).

¡Browne is a vulture!

Well, anything could happen in the next month and an half, so she might be right, but I doubt it. If the election would happen today, Obama would win by about ~ 338 electoral votes to about ~ 200 electoral votes. The thing is that if the election would have been held on any day in the last 200 days, Obama would have won 90% of the days, with the remaining 10% of days being too close to call. At no point in the last 200 days, Romney had a definite lead. With time, the odds of Obama winning increased:

Everyday since the conventions, including everyday of the Republican Convention, Obama would have won. Barring something spectacular event shaking up the race, which could happen, Obama will win.

Evidently, Browne will be wrong again. We should publicize her failures for the good of society:

Browne takes advantage of the mentally ill. She took advantage of my dying aunt. In her last years, her illness effected her mind. In her mental state, the crap Browne spouts made sense to mine aunt. Mine aunt bought much garbage from Browne, she could not afford.

¡Browne is a vulture!

I'm left wondering why anybody cares about her opinion anyway? Does she seek out the press? Do they call her? She lost her free publicity on the Montel show, thank the gods. How is she even news anymore?

Well if the scarlet clawed harridan says that Barak Obama isn't going to be re-elected then the Republicans might as well not contest the election.
She's never been right

:D:D:DI have consulted the innards of a roadkill possum , and predict Mr President [B.Obama] will be re-elected for a second term . Mittens will be sorely upset, and S.B. will break a fingernail......

You're wrong! Mittens will win! His campaign is in such a meltdown that all the swing voters and half the Democrats will stay home, relieved that they don't have to get off their lazy behinds on election night because Romney "can't" win. But all the bible-thumping, tea-bagging objectivists will make it to the polls, and there'll be an upset. AND Sylvia WILL break a nail. And there'll be an earthquake, a tornado, and a tropical depression somewhere during 2013.

She Reverses: Browne believes President Barack Obama will be re-elected

Sylvia Browne just contradicted her prediction. In January 2012, Browne said: "President Obama will NOT be re-elected as President of the United States." On September 25, 2012, which is eight days after pundits predicted the end of Romney's chances of winning due to the video released September 17, 2012, she says:

Spiritual Healer Sylvia Browne Makes Predictions For The Future

Spiritual healer, psychic, and author Sylvia Browne visited New Orleans for shows at Harrah's Casino.

When asked about our Saints and the team's Superbowl chances despite the recent losses she predicts they still can do it and play in the big game.

She does not feel the world will end in 2012, and she believes President Barack Obama will be re-elected in November.
...
Full article with video: WGNO NEWS (The anchor called some of her other predictions "ambiguous".)

Too bad the reporter didn't do his homework to know what her earlier prediction was and ask her about the contradiction.

She still has her church, and her eleventy-seven books, and her $15,000/hr phone chat line, and her stage performances.

Wow, so she predicted he'd lose, then predicted he'd win? I'm starting to get an idea of how I can become a million dollars richer!

I can guarantee that I can accurately predict the results of a coin flip made by an independent third party. For each flip of the coin, I will write down two predictions.... :D
