Well this is a nice one in a couple of weeks I have seen a couple of things that kind of upsets me here in Sweden.

The first thing is Ann Lundberg, she has a PhD in Theology and is a researcher in gender studies. She has the outragous claim in her reports that here in this small country with 9 million inhabitants there are pedophiles that kill and dismember infants. She hasn't presented any evidence that this has actually happened and yet still she is a professor at Uppsala University.

The second thing that came up recently is that Parapsychology is now accepted at Lund University. Etzel Cardeña is outspoken believer in ESP is now made the professor in Parapsychology. All this that Lund University can claim an inheritance fund that has been rejected all over Scandinavia. The reason all other universities has rejected the money, Parapsychology is not good science and thus has no place in academics.

What is happening with swedish academics?

Ah, the Lund University. What could you expect from the place that gave inspiration to Dubbelmoral.

Her name is Eva Lundgren (Not Ann Lundberg), she's originally Norwegian but was ostracised from the university in Bergen for some reason or other and moved to Sweden after being offered a position there in the theology department of some university. She's been a professor of sociology since 1993, and from what I have read it's almost impossible to fire a tenured professor from a Swedish university unless they're convicted of a serious crime.

Got any sources for the claim?

I always thought it was nearly impossible to fire any Swede (or Norwegian for that matter), from any job.

Just a thought, but I would imagine that the grant will not say that they HAVE TO prove parapsychology.

Supposing they use it for serious research and end up concluding there is no proof?

The pedophile witch-hunt continues.

I find it surprising she didn't label them Satanists.

Sure beats working for a living.

Not to derail, but...why did you think that?

She's part of the group of feminists who recently reprinted Solanas' SCUM Manifesto ... and consider it enlightened!http://gos.sbc.edu/s/solanas.html Swedish TV had a good documentary about them a few weeks ago.

Whoa! That's her?? I got the tape somewhere.... She's a complete wacko. I think it was satanists, and not pedophiles, though.

No evidence whatsoever, of course. No public denouncement of her, either.

Both! I only missed the UFO abductees!
I saw Jan Guillou talking about this on Swedish TV4 this week. He was quite good (he usually is).

Well as far as I know a lot of the faculty at the Lund University felt quite disgraced by its decision to accept the grant and give room for parapsychology.
