Suppose reincarnation is a real thing. Now what?

Suppose science with overwhelming evidence determined for certain that you reincarnate after death, would anything change ?

Set aside the karma angle for now. Nothing religious involved. It is simply nature.

Lets just say you know for sure that you will reincarnate. Would you change? Would this affect the world? If so how? If not, why not?

What comes to mind?

First and foremost, we'd have to define exactly what it is which transfers from one person to his reincarnation. It's pretty obvious that this wouldn't include much memory or genetic material, so what exactly would we mean by reincarnation? Personality-wise, there wouldn't likely be much transferral. Is it the same person in any way that actually matters?

The question just brings up a hoard of other questions, rather than answers.

You could come back as an aardvaark

Can I be reincarnated as a mythological creature? Anything less and I'm passing this up.

I'd go with dragon or centaur.

Then again, there are a number of subterranean species that would do well tunneling into mountains with rampant global warming.
