To be absolutely fair, in the actual newspaper, the rest of the page (the bottom half) is entirely occupied by an advertisement for "Prudence, thought you might like to know we have a diesel." It's a car of some sort.

It's odd that the alt-med advocates always seem to see their gurus as so pure and altruistic, and never question why the internet is infested with pushy ads for all that woo-woo crap.

Rolfe.

Oh I believe. I believe.
Sorry for persistent sidetracking, but some phrases conjure up such strange associations. Rolfe's phrase "woo-woo crap" has me imagining David Attenborough, squatting in khakis beside a huge pile of steaming dung , explaining in breathless tones about the strange, cacophilic habits of the lesser spotted woo-woo.

Forgive me. I'm easily amused.:)

Yes, it's a great article. The tragedy is that it will do no good. The sCAM fraternity will totally ignore it, because they have royal patronage, government funding, and the support of eminent medics who should know better but are more interested in brown-nosing to get knighthoods. They are all quite happy to tell us that black is white, to invent phenomena, and to gerrymander research until they get a `positive' result. More assertive action is needed. Several people have intimated that certain individuals in public service could well be guilty of negligence in supporting such initiatives as this appalling new book from HRH's Foundation. Watch this space.
