Sudan's government will meet a U.S. demand to provide access for a team of U.S. aid workers to deliver assistance to refugees in the Darfur region of Western Sudan, the State Department said on Thursday.
Sudan had refused visas to 28 U.S. Agency for International Development officials to visit Darfur, where U.S. officials say government-backed Arab militias have been conducting "ethnic cleansing " against black Africans.
