Hi guys. I hope this is the right forum as I'd considered putting this in general skepticism & paranormal.)
No doubt you're all aware of Dr. Steven Greer's Sirius movie project that's soon to come out that will blow the roof off UFOlogy (or, as I saw it put the other day, will act as a collection plate for Greer.)
Greer recently talked with Joe Rogan on the Joe Rogan Experience, and I thought I'd flick through it to see what was covered. What I stumbled upon bothered me.
He gets into the whole "if you touch UFOlogy, that's the end of your scientific career" yarn, but then drags Carl Sagan's name into it. << Video link.
I quote:
"A very famous astronomer who I worked with, Carl Sagan,
was at our meetings in 1997 that we did for congress and
after he did that with us he was told that if he ever
wanted to be published again or write again or have a
career in astronomy he'd have to leave this issue alone."
1997?
Uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuum.
I'd wager that Greer wouldn't have mentioned Sagan were he still alive to defend himself.
