A writer points out in the latest commentary that no one predicted the death of Steve Irwin. That is not exactly true. It appears that Mr. Irwin stated that he felt he would die soon in an automobile accident.

Now personally I thought that was off the mark seeing how he died; until I listened to Coast to Coast last week. A caller pointed out that Irwin had talked about dying in a car accident. The Corvette Stingray was a popular American car.

Irwin killed by Stingray, Stingray is a type of car, it suddenly was so clear.

George Noory agreed that this was quite an accurate prediction.

People die during carnivals.
Another word for carnival is Fiesta.
A popular make of car in the UK is the Ford Fiesta.

So what?

God is love

Love is Blind

Ray Charles is (was) blind

Ray Charles is God!

(uh- oh, God is dead. . . )

Ooooh! Retrofitting!

But amazingly imprecise.

This is a good idea. We can figure out ways of dying and then try to connect it to dying in a car accident. I bet if we're imaginative enough it'll be hard to think of a way of dying that _can't_ be connected to a car accident. My problem is that I don't know the name of many different kinds of cars but still I'll give it a shot.

Of course, if he was killed in an accident with some kind of equine we could relate it to a Ford Bronco. Or a Ford Pinto. Or an El Camino...I think that's Spanish for The Horse.

If he was killed by a spider...wasn't there a care way back when named Spyder? For some reason I'm thinking that James Dean was driving a Spyder when he was killed.

Of course, the ultimate would be to connect a crocodile or alligator to a car name but I don't know enough car names to do it.

Alligators are reptiles just like snakes, so maybe the AC Cobra (later Ford/Shelby Cobra) and Dodge Viper would fit.

Other car name candidates are cougar, puma, Jaguar, barracuda, and ram. Bluebird and kitten have also been used as car names but I don't think either one would have been able to take out Steve Irwin.

James Dean was a passenger in his Porsche 550 Spyder when it crashed. The spyder name has been used by many other car companies to denote a lightweight vehicle. Barchetta, meaning 'small boat', is a term sometimes used by Ferrari:

If any boats were involved in Steve Irwin's death, then this would also be a match. Maybe he was diving off a boat, or he might have been taken aboard a boat where he actually died.

Remember -- Coast to Coast is an ENTERTAINMENT program, not a NEWS program!

I have my ways of knowing this!

Folks here go after George Noory? He clearly doesn't believe in the claptrap of his audience. It's touching to hear how he gently confirms their fairy-tales, while redirecting them gently to the land of the slightly-more-sane when things get potentially dangerous.

"El caballo" is "the horse." But you left out the Ford Mustang.

Actually, it's El Camino Real, which translates to "The King's Highway".

I left out Mercury Bobcat and Dodge Colt in my list of animal car names. There was also a Scarab racing car, one of the few insect names used by a car.
