For those not up to date on this global fraud see their web site

www.steorn.com

They proclaim that they now have 12 "jurors" signed to "contract" in a "process" that will "validate" their "technology" (excuse all the quote marks, I feel they are necessary).

The have published on their web site the "contract" which they claim these mysterious "jurors" have signed. But after giving it a read through it can easily be ascertained that all the signatories have signed up for is:

€2,000 in payment in return for providing some unspecified "services" and some further unspecified "deliverables". Unbelievable.

I must admit though, they have me hooked. I am trying to work out where the pay-off for them (Steorn shareholders) is in this, assuming that they are in fact giving away €24,000 in fees plus costs, plus they maintain a very snazzy web site.

All I can see at the moment is mention of a "mominal licence fee" that will be payable by those who wish to use the technology.

Assuming they're not deluded enough to believe that this is genuine, I imagine that "more research will be needed" to apply the "technology" to real world situations.

I predict they will appeal for more investment money to acieve this.

When do I claim the $1,000,000? ;)

Woo test:

It can be applied to power products ranging from portable music players to cars.

Condition purple!
Violation type: Underplaying usability.
Details: The "Orbo" technology, if working as advertized, will be the greatest sensation in the history of Mankind. It will change the face of the World. .. Yet, they suggest it be used for portable radios and cars.

Booo!

Funny how those "free energy" schemes are similar to the claims of "spiritual" con artists who pretend they are doing the grand work of god by bending spoons and predicting the fate of celebs marriages ... :D

The have published on their web site the "contract" which they claim these mysterious "jurors" have signed.
The section of the contract headed "confidentiality" looks suspiciously like some sort of non-disclosure agreement on the part of the "jurors". The definition of confidential material is quite wide-ranging:
As used herein, the term "Confidential Information" shall mean that private, secret, or confidential information of Steorn, whether or not in writing, of whatever kind or nature disclosed to the Juror or known by the Juror, (whether or not invented, discovered or developed by the Juror) as a consequence of or through the performance of the duties under this Agreement...

(my emphasis)
That looks to me as if it could apply to the conclusions reached by the jury. Might it prevent the jurors commenting on whatever interpretation of the "validation" process Steorn present on their website?

Yes, that's pretty much it. If you read the part on Intellectual Property:

All right, title and interest, including, but not limited to, all copyrights, in and to all materials prepared by the Juror pursuant to the terms of this Agreement or otherwise for Steorn (“Work”) shall be the exclusive property of Steorn.

They go into more detail, and specify that all copyrightable or patentable work done in any related context by the jurors is considered to be "work for hire", which Steorn owns outright. That means Steorn has complete control over it, and the jurors cannot publish anything without Steorn's approval.

The even make a point:

Nothing in this Agreement shall constitute a license or any other rights in favour of the Juror with respect to the Confidential Information or any other proprietary information or rights of Steorn.

So under this contract, the jurors have absolutely no rights or control over their work. Even if Steorn was to entirely suppress, or completely misrepresent their work. If they were to take a stand, and publish something that contradicted the story Steorn eventually puts out, they would be leaving themselves open to massive lawsuits.

Is this sort of control-freak behaviour on the part of Steorn filing anyone with confidence?
