Star Wars...You will go to hell

A friends mother once destroyed SW memorabilia that would now be worth tens of thousands of dollars because she heard something like this at church.
 
It appears to me to be a parody site. The same kind of mind that would be that paranoiac about a fantasy movie, would not be caught dead in a Dancing Jesus T-Shirt. Why, that thing would be made of lead come the rapture!
 
This is one of the problems with far out religious rants, arguments for "intelligent design", and conspiracy theories. All of them are so intrinsically ridiculous that it's impossible to tell if it's satire unless one actually says... "JUST KIDDING, FOLKS!" at the end.

there doesn't appear to be anything on that site which is NSFW, even the adds are SFW.
maybe it's your filter which is playing up, last week I got a similar message when I tried to access my governments Department for Education web page. :jaw-dropp

This all reminds me of the mid-80s. I was a BIG Star Wars geek. My parents were Star Wars fans themselves. But they were also right-wingers, and a lot of our friends were fundie Christians, who tried to convince us that Star Wars promoted Eastern religion and magic(k) and all other kinds of evilness.

My dad tried to project Christian allegory onto it, with mixed results

"Darth Vader is Satan; that makes Skywalker Jesus."
"But Daddy, Vader is Luke's father!"
"Oh, right..."
 
Actually, I would think that Star Wars would be fairly unobjectionable to at least the Chick-style "accepting Jesus whenever is all that you need" christians. A deathbed repentance and acceptance of goodness or whatever leading to a happy afterlife. (Funny site, by the way.)

Ahh ... but they forget that Vader turns to the good side in the end. Or did they not watch that part either?

And the final episode does not have evil winning ... that's a prequel ... the final episode has good triumphant! These guys don't even know of what they speak ... as usual.
