Silly me, I don't keep up on these things, and wondered what was up with the mention of frivolous asbestos lawsuits.

Next day, this:
Halliburton to pay $30 million to area asbestos victims

I'll be handing out tinfoil hats at the end of the post.

Actually, only knowing what I read in the article, doesn't sound too frivolous to me. Mebbe the Prez was talking about a different lawsuit?

I also was wondering about the asbestos remark. I wanted to check it out but forgot all about it by the end of the speech. It would be interesting to show if there is actually a connection, or simply a coincidence. Where's my tinfoil hat?

The asbestos lawsuit mess is a fiasco of incredible proportions. Halliburton is a microscopic player in it all.
