Okay, McCain has built his whole reputation on being a maverick (even as he does obesience to W's pampered kundingi) and on being a veteran who has been through the wringer.
Now, would you care to show me how he has kept faith with his brothers? What has he done to improve the lot of the men and women coming home from Iraq broken and unable to function in society or to earn a decent living, or who wake up haunted by the nightmares?
What has he done to make whole the families of the men and women discarded as useless by a rule that allows medical boards to declare that their conditions were pre-existing, even after they suffered serious trauma in combat?
Did he pitch in to donate money to the private effort (much promoted by Al Franken) to get foam liners for soldiers' helmets to reduce brain trauma?
Come on, what has he done for the veterans?
