The minimum wage law increases are an existing form of "wealth redistribution". We have something right now (the minimum wage law) to which we can predict the outcome of any NEW redistribution plan.
Look what that has given us. It has given us runaway labor cost, were everyone else wants to keep ahead and charge more. And they do. They have to. It is only fair. Obviouisly they have to pay skilled non-MW workers an increased amount of money, so that their percentage of spread stays the same as what it used to be.
And companies of all types cannot afford it. Small businesses are often not able to hire as much, or even lay off. And big companies send labor overseas.
Duh! Plain as the nose on your face! Because foreign companies are not paying THEIR labor forces as much.
And Obama and his advisors haven't made that correlation? That you can't transfer money out of the hands of those creating the jobs, to give to those that dont't have?
