Skeptics Pub in North Texas

I have made arrangements with the Absinthe Lounge in Dallas to have a skeptical movie shown with a talk. The Absinthe Lounge is a bar, and we are encouraged to buy drinks.

Are there any North Texans on the board who want to know more, or help with the final phase of organizing this.

I am a CFI student leader, and I am working with the North Texas Skeptics as well to promote this.

I am sponsoring this event with my podcast.

Anybody out there from North Texas?

I think I qualify, though I'm not up on bar locations (basically a tea-totaller). Date and time would help. What movie? And do they have real absinthe? The green fairy?

I attend UNT, but unfortunately it would take the scientific equivalent of a miracle for me to attend. I have final exams, a cumulative exam, and will be spending the Summer in Singapore.

I could make it, as long as it was after 5PM (I work in Arlington). I don't know how much I could contribute but I'd be interested. Drinking is always a worthy pursuit in my book.

Not real absinthe I'm afraid. Its at 1409 South Lamar, Suite 8, on June 17th at 8:00 pm.

We are also showing the movie at the next North Texas Skeptics meeting on May 17th at 2:00 pm at the Center for Nonprofit Management at 2900 Live Oak Street.

Both locations in Dallas.
