Skeptics in the Pub - Speakers

How many Skeptics in the Pub events are still going on? I know Granite State Skeptics is still meeting monthly, but we are having a few issues with finding speakers and presenters. In this day and age of Skype, distance shouldn't be an issue. I was just wondering if there is a sort of "Speakers Bureau" listing for folks who are willing to dial in on a Skype to other groups?

While at it, I'd gladly volunteer to put my name in a hat for speaking to anyone willing to listen to me. My main topics would be along the lines of:
  • Skeptical Activism
  • Introducing Skepticism into non-traditional areas
  • Aviation topics
  • General Toastmaster type topics
  • Management and organizational topics

This is just a sampling. Anyone else?
 
Skeptics in the Pub for Syracuse, NY

I am the VP of CNY Skeptics, a local skeptics group based in Syracuse, NY. We do Skeptics in the Pub events every other month (February, April, June, October) outside of the summer months. I usually post them here to the Skeptical Events page on International Skeptics Forum, but they are also put up on our website and our Facebook page. Please check us out if you are interested in attending!
 
Thanks for the note hardindr. Are you guys going to try to host Susan Gerbic in May? I heard rumours she's traveling to the northeast around that time.

It may be a bit of a drive to attend a meeting, but let me know if you have a sort of speaker's bureau or anything we can share. We've had good luck getting some folks to join our meetings via Skype.

Yes, there is a tentative plan for Gerbic to come and speak in Syracuse, as well as at least one other north east city in the spring, but there is no formal announcement to be made yet. We record and make available all our speakers at CNY Skeptics via MP3 on our website.
