On March 22nd the Second SkeptiCamp will be in Denver, Colorado. The cost of the conference is FREE!!! We encourage all to come in exchange for a free conference we ask that you Participate with a presentation or leading a discussion or help setup chairs etc.

Whoa! Didn't expect this. At least so soon, as our little experiment is as yet still young.

I've received word that this second skepticamp event coming up later this month has acquired a big sponsor. While our event would have proceeded without one, as many barcamps have done so, a backer makes much more possible, such as t-shirts, lunch, etc. for all those who will participate.

That sponsor is none other than The James Randi Educational Foundation. It's not clear if this signals an ringing endorsement of this new participant-driven conference format, but it at least shows that there's keen interest at JREF in supporting innovations within the community of skeptics.

Early indications suggest our event in Castle Rock will be a nice step up from the inaugural event last August, which wasn't too shabby for the first event of its kind.

Those in the area are encouraged to join us and perhaps give a short presentation on science or skepticism. Talk to Rich (the organizer) if you'd like to volunteer to help.
