Six Critically Endangered Wolf Pups Born

Thanks for the fix.

No problem. Thanks for sharing the video. :)

(I often pm members when I notice a bad link, but I saw you go off-line, and the JREFF was down for a while this a.m.)

so, that's one each for the Stark children, and then one for Eddard's bastard?

I'll be trying for additional video next week when I'm there to do some repairs on the buildings. They will be coming out of the den box at about four weeks, so they'll be meeting the yearlings about then.

Are you planning on having live video, like with the eagles (which has been very cool)?

I see a "lair cam" mentioned on the site but don't see a link.

Looks like it's in the works:

Inside the Wolves lair: Six Endangered Wolf Pups Born
“Lair Cam” Gives the World Rare Glimpse Into the Birth of Iconic Species"
Six Mexican gray wolf pups have been born at the renowned Endangered Wolf Center outside St. Louis, MO. and, for the first time, viewers around the world will be able to follow the rarely seen first weeks of the wolves’ family life online at www.endangeredwolfcenter.org or on Facebook

The pups born May 1 are the second litter born to parents Perkins and Abby who had their first litter last year. The pups, five females and one male, are one of only four litters to be born in 2011 and their very existence has national and international implications for this endangered species.

“To be able to broadcast streaming video of these endangered wolf pups and their adult parents is an amazing feat we have never tried before,” said Mac Sebald, executive director of the EWC. “This will give everyone an opportunity to see these remarkable keystone predators inside the wolves’ lair.”

Perhaps they're waiting another week or so..

Subscribed. You are my new hero.

My hero is the guy who found every living Mexican Grey Wolf in the world back in the early '80s. He found five, and two turned up later. Of the seven founders, there was one female and four non-related males. Those five were the stock for the entire subspecies of Canus lupus baileyi.

They just asked me to edit the raw video footage.
