Should Clinton Resurrect the Daisy Ad?

If I were Hilary, I would go after Trump's economic policies; Simply say "Do you want to pay 20 dollars for that gadget you are now paying five dollars for? That is what would happen if Trump starts the Trade Wars he says he would start".

No, but an updated version with a similar message: Is this really the kind of guy we want with his finger on the nuclear trigger? Does he have the right temperament? Is he, not to put too fine a point on it, sane enough to be president?

I agree, same ad, only with a Cannabis leaf. Girl played by Miley Cyrus. :)

Oh, daisy ad. For a second I thought the question was about daisy dukes.

At the risk of sounding ageist, I just don't want to see Hillary Clinton in daisy dukes.

I mean, I'd have to wear something more formal to meet the next president, surely.

No. That was a different time. That was not long after the Cuban Missile Crisis. Students were crawling under their desks doing "duck and cover" nuclear drills. There were ads in the back of magazines for home fallout shelters. People truly had fears of a Soviet nuclear attack. But I think they were just as afraid that an American President being reckless could also cause a nuclear exchange.

Goldwater talking tough didn't help either being famous for saying "extremism in defense of liberty is no vice"

Whereas I think people today feel so removed from thinking it could actually happen. We might be worried about terrorism but not so much a nuclear exchange.

Also, from a media landscape it's dramatically different. In 1964 there was essentially 3 TV channels. No Internet. Anything that happened on the prime time networks was huge and that ad was so subtle and yet hit the audience like a ton of bricks.

I doubt any political ad today could have such a powerful effect.

I think it would be a defining moment for Hillary, and could stop her slide in the polls. Here's the Daisy Ad (It was only shown once): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dDTBnsqxZ3k

Just change the narration and you have a perfect attack ad against Trump.

Thoughts/Opinions?

Yes, please have her do it, it would once again show how out of touch the left is and why so many are swarming to Trump. The left really doesn't understand this!

It would reek of desperation. The ad itself overwhelms the message. I think a lot of the advice here is bad. Robby Mook is doing about as effective a job as can be expected. While I haven't been paying very careful attention to the election circus, he seems to have excellent instincts.
