There's been another campus shooting this afternoon. It appears to have been a single shooter, with 4 people taken to the hospital. One has died, one is critical, in surgery, and the other two are satisfactory.

They haven't released the identity of the suspected shooter, but he's of college age from the photos, and his truck is registered to the parents of a student, according to local news. Tomorrow is the last day of classes before finals.

I wonder what the excuse will be this time?

That's something you don't hear at these liberal bubbles. Of course, I'm talking about the sound of freedom.

I understand it was a student-faculty member who initially tackled this guy, followed by a few more folks jumping in. Good job, whoever you people were.

We need Jesus back in schools. When we took Jesus from the schools, things like this started happening.

Oh wait...

One person died and three others were wounded Thursday when a gunman opened fire in a classroom at a Christian university in Seattle, authorities said.

In any event, these victims and their families need to just suck it up. Freedom isn't free; someone has to pay up.

Shame that no one was armed to instantly return fire and save the day.

And it didn't need to be a gun; the crazy shooter could just use pools, knives, cars, bleach, baseball bats, Nerf swords, sporks, broken beer bottles or any other object just as easily.

Whatever we do, just don't mess with 'Murrican FREEDOM!!1!ELEVENTY!.

CNN is reporting that only three of the victims were shot - including the dead man, the woman who is critical, and one of the men in satisfactory condition. The fourth victim was taken to the hospital for shock, but was not wounded.

May have been the one that was cradling the woman's head in his lap after she was shot in the chest. That would make most people pretty shocky, not to mention covered in blood.

I'm trying to grasp what you mean by this.

(but it's a superb blog from a retired military guy)

I think that might be part of the point.

I'm quite happy to hear that a student/security guard took the slime down and three other students helped hold him down. They clearly showed forbearance as I would have felt compelled to bounce his head off the floor a time or five.

The only way to stop a bad guy with a gun is with a good guy with a gun giant brass ones.

So much for the "good guy with a gun" meme.

Still a little confused as to the situation of the fourth victim. CNN.com continues to report that he was transported for "emotional trauma"; however, in last night's news conference, the fire chief stated that the fourth victim had "minor abdominal wounds", about which he was unable to elaborate. ABC's website describes this fellow as having been injured in the scuffle to subdue the gunman.

In Seattle, "emotional trauma" is actually considered more serious than "minor abdominal wounds".

You can stitch up a belly, but when someone hurts your Feels, that's forever, man.

Victim 4 mystery solved. According to ABC News, the man who was taken to the hospital for emotional trauma was Jon Meis, the hero who first pepper-sprayed and then tackled the shooter.

I guess you guys have an excuse: you're liberals.

The sound of freedom = gun shots.
Wrong.
The sound of freedom is jet exhaust bellowing out of a high performance jet fighter. Head to your nearest Naval Air Station or Air Force base, and experience it. You can hear it from outside the wire if they won't let you on.

Experience it at an airshow when the Thunderbirds show up.

Gunfire is gunfire.

Obviously a lie. The only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun.........
