ShadowPlay 9/11 - New Documentary

This was mentioned in another thread, but I think it deserves its own thread. What is particularly original about this film is the way it supposedly links 9/11 conspiracy to the anti-war left. What's most likely unoriginal about the film is the claims it makes regarding 9/11. Establishing a link between the anti-war debate and the 9/11 conspiracy debate also appears to be the goal of the film, with 911blogger noting:

I think that this film has the potential to erase the "firewall" between the anti-war Left and 9/11 skeptics.

There's also a trailer on YouTube for this film.


It hasn't been released onto the internet yet as far as I know.

Well the movement is desperate now, so they are trying to link any anti-govt group with their cause. I have been saying for some time that the left had better do their best to marginalize and isolate these kooks, or they will be associated with them.

The way I see it, conspiracy theorists are desperate to align themselves with the anti-war left, because most of the country is relating to the anti-war left at the moment. The pro-war right also want to see this happen, as it will severely discredit the anti-war left. O'Reilly's going to have a field day with this kind of thing.

Statistical trends, public and private polling and internet throughput data indicates the truth movement peaked in late 2006. The truth movement is currently becoming more fractured everyday, but if you have some evidence to support your claim I would love to take a look at it.

Natural? To me that says that the motivation behind 9/11 conspiracy theorists is purely political.

O'Reilly is great for 9/11 truth, he has no credibility and gives lot's of free publicity.

He's got more credibility and more viewers than Alex Jones, Dylan Avery and Rosie O'Donnell combined.

It's also a vehicle for no-talent hacks to sell crappy books full of lies, and for spelling-challenged wannabe graphic artists to sell crappy t-shirts, and for mentally challenged wannabe pilots to sell barbeque aprons, to the misguided, to the delusional, and to the 8th graders at Butt(rule 10), Iowa* Elementary School.

It also has a nice little niche for a few once-upon-a-time scientists, once-upon-a-time physicists, and once-upon-a-time water testers, whose professional careers didn't go so well.

The political leanings of the truth movement are as diverse as the population of the country. There are even officers from the military, FBI and CIA who question the OCT.

The truth movement is not anti-govt. The anti-war movement is not anti-govt. You need new glasses TAM. All you can see is black and white.

Yeah I know that's a poor argument but how many times can this guy be recycled? There must be a build your own 9/11 CT video kit out there that enables anyone to simply paste together pre-made interviews, voice overlays and a spooky soundtrack.
