Seems as though he was HIV+ on one test, then 14 months later was HIV-. Scientists, obviously, are quite keen to know what the deal is here.
There seems to be some suggestion that he 'cured himself', though I don't know if they mean it went away without being treated, or if he subscribes to some sort of mumbo-jumbo.
I guess the most likely explanation at present is a testing flaw, but let's hope it's not.
One red flag is that for some reason he's refusing further testing.
