Sarah Palin: I told you so!

Yeah, my Brother-in-law was crowing about this until someone asked what would McCain or Romney would've done to stop it.

Give me a break. You really think Palin had such foreign policy chops that she foresaw the current Ukraine problem six years ago? She hypothesized a scenario just as a gotcha political campaign gambit, nothing more.

So her actual response implies that being governor of a state that has land that is in view of Russian territory gives her VP level insight in to global politics.

Is that really true?

Fascinating!
The only part she got wrong was the Russia invading ukraine part!

Well, the point is that they COULD invade the Ukraine, and when fact-checking Palin you settle for things that are not logically, mathematically or scientifically impossible, so this is scored as a WIN.

Maybe im remembering it wrong but wasnt the whole shutting off gas pipelines and people freezing cause it was winter going on then!?

So she - err someone who read the paper - heard about it and since it involved eviiiiiil commies she made so e comment about it. Crediting her for "seeing" current events is about as realistic as buybull prophesies and nostrodomus stanzas predicting hitler.

Great! Palin was right!

Now, how about she runs for President? Otherwise, what's the point?

Despite disagreeing with her politics, I'm perfectly willing to concede that I'd be very supportive of Sarah Palin if she were to go to the Crimea right now and remain there until everything is peaceful. Or indeed, perhaps her presence would be necessary there for the rest of her life, to keep a lid on things.

Russia is invading Crimea, a part of Ukraine, right now.

Oh, that invasion. Well, the Crimea was a loan, so they're taking it back, I guess. The "Russian" population of the Crimea is double the "Ukrainian" according to that unreliable arbiter, Wikipedia. Vlady probably has a retreat there.

I do hope he's not using this as his "Sudetenland" gambit.

Even the blind pig finds an acorn now and then.
Or something like that.

Acorns are underground, so a pig has to rely on its nose to detect them. Maybe it's that a noseless pig finds an acorn now and then?

Ok, so what does Palin purpose Obama do about it? War with Russia?

I haven't the foggiest. I'm just entertained by Sarah Palin's much derided comments actually turning out to be prescient (although I doubt that Putin would have hesitated to invade with a President McCain or Romney in the White House).
