Rush Limbaugh will be off the air for the next month while he does a cushy rehab gig. I'm not sure we all understand the impact of this.

After all, Mr. Limbaugh is the forefront of the vast right wing conspiracy. He is Roger Ailes assassin of the airwaves. He is the forefront of the assault of all that is good and right (meaning Hillary Clinton and her wing of the democratic party).

If Rush is off the air for a month, will this be a second spring for the american socialist? Will the message be finally get out without the daily 3 hour onslaught distorting it? Will Howard Dean get a new boogeyman to name drop on the campaign trail? Will SpinSanity have to find someone else who isn't in the mainstream news media to spend half their time correcting? Will FAIR declare that their mission is basically over?

Seriously, much of the power attributed to Limbaugh will shown to be vapor by his monthlong absence from the airwaves. My only hope is that Walter E. Williams gets to guest host his show and spread the enlightening truth about economics and freedom to Rush's mostly conservative listeners.

I'm sure Michael Medved could sit in.

He could easily do a months worth of shows talking about all the sex and anti-religious bias in Hollywood. Oh, and how great it is that an conservative actor like Arnie got elected governor.

He's too calm and rational. You need a seething silent smolderer like Medved or a brash Conservative Avenger like Armstrong Williams to fill the void left while Rush dries out.

How about Brozo?

Though he is more popular and respected here in
Mexico than Limbaugh ever could hope to be there.

Maybe they'll just run repeats of old programs. He hasn't said anyting new in ages, so his listeners probably won't even notice.

The existence of this thread, of course.

And he implied that this thread shouldn't exist where? Well, no where, of course.

He asked why we should care, perhaps you would care to take a shot at answering that?

No, he implied no one cares. His sarcastic remark was a subtle form of intimidation and I called him on it.

Perhaps you should either contribute to the thread or move on, instead of attempting to perpetuate the intimidation.

Simply put, your "caring" is not a requirement either.

Who said that Rush had any influence? All he ever did was reinforce already existing delusion, he never informed anyone or brought anything new to the table so he could not ever really have had influence.

No Rush is like no Sports Center... I mean, so what?

People wont stop being bigots and idiots because Rush is off air any more than people will stop likeing sports if Sports Center went off air.

Whatever his flaws, the fact that you hate him so much is sufficient cause for me to take interest in the man...

i occassionally listen to him (and i'm a democrat). he's a hypocritical windbag but sometimes an entertaining one.

and we should care because he has something on the order of 15 million listeners. he's a pretty influential person. he can help people get elected and that affects everyone.

Ok hypocrite, I'll think about it. Why don't you too ;)

I never said whether I cared or not. Do you read before you post?
Doesn't seem like it.

But you did have one point, neither of us has contributed to the thread, so I'm outta here :)

Well, now that two days have passed, perhaps someone who listened to the show could tell us who's filling in and how did the show go.

Stern was ripping Rush several new ones while I commuted home this morning.

Brozo is one of those televising personages of great tradition and penetration in the Mexican hearing. Victor Trujillo has created and represented east personage who is a clown or clown of social, street very lower class, and that more than to be for children, is for adults. As personage has become of the mere comedy of critic or parodia to the Mexican daily life, to the critic and political analysis it last. In the last Brozo years it leads a noticiario where it notifies and it makes critic of the same ones. Their analyses are not simple. Behind the mask and the maquillaje there is a very intelligent person, very informed and critical. To where I know, a similar phenomenon in the western television does not exist. They imagine in the morning to a clown with broken and worn away, average disguise dirty and very badly spoken of conductor --no invited, conductive -- of one of the main noticiarios in its country? Good, that is Brozo .
Limbaugh seems more the greasepaint on the inside kind of clown...
