Here's what Rudy Guiliani said in NBC this morning:
The president was cautious the president was prudent the president did what a commander in chief should do. No matter how you try to blame it on the president the actual responsibility for it really would be for the troops that were there. Did they search carefully enough? Didn't they search carefully enough?
I think that ought to knock his stature back down to pre-9/11 levels. What a tool.

Will Bush take responsibility in any way, shape or form for his disasterous mistakes? The point of the war (ostensible) was to keep Saddam's weapons from proliferating to terrorists. The result of the war was the facilitate it.

I wonder if Bush will accuse Rudy of denigrating the troops, as he has accused Kerry.

You keep that type of talk up and some of Jesse's people will visit you for a "donation".

Charlie (and yes, Rudy's a douche-bag) Monoxide

No, no, no. He's supporting the troops. It's supportive when you point out their mistakes. Just like it's supportive to cut their benefits; it makes them better people. This is called Supporting the Troops, and Republicans do it all the time.

It's only denigrating the troops when you oppose sending them into harm's way for vague, ever-changing reasons where the populace doesn't want them there and the guerilla warfare will guarantee lots of deaths and no exit in the near future. If you oppose THAT, then you're denigrating the troops.
