Rosie O'Donnell Goes Truther?

Wow, the truthers have now found a C-list celebrity, rather than the D-list ones. I wonder what Tonya Harding's views on 9/11 are...

I love the one LCer who reacts to this by saying they don't want to go giving people "too much information".

Og forbid they should actually let people see what all they believe!

Wow, do you know what this means?

A Troother could actually get laid! That first lady would give it up for Conner in a millisecond.

Watching the video, it seems more like Rosie is laughing at the guy than supporting him. "Yea, they might call him a nut job. The guy shows up with a megaphone saying 9-11 was an inside job..." That seems like sarcasm to me, but it's hard to tell with lunatics. Anyone got anymore information beyond this video clip about Rosie's alleged Trooferness?

Rosie says, "Look and make your own decision, that's for sure," right at the end of the clip. This is at least Kucinich-level tolerance of the meme.

Im glad they find John Conner funny...cause I dont. I think he harrasses people. He has already protested outside of a Freemason hall. It wont be long before he is yelling and screaming infront of a synagogue...or the israeli embassy. it hasnt happened yet, but i think one day one of these folks is gonna go to far..and someone is gonna get hurt.

I'm all for protest, even against Israel (I took part in a few this past summer), but I think it should be done for a legitimate reason rather than something so stupid and insignificant as the fact that 9/11 being an "inside job"

Conner's a pretty weird guy; he's very much a social conservative. I wonder how Rosie would feel about this video where he visits Hollywood which he describes as the source of the sewer pipe leading into America's living rooms? Or this one where he blasts Barnes & Noble for carrying a "Satanic Bible".

Err... that sounds bad. ;)

Of course.
John Stacey said:
People who become cult members do not know that their recruiters have a hidden agenda. If they did initially know the actual intentions of the group--it is more likely they would resist their persuasion. It is natural for most people to not want others dictating to them. Indeed, for most of society this often seems presumptuous if not insulting. A respected psychologist, Margaret Thaler Singer, who has studied mind control since the 1950s, states that during the indoctrination process, the cult recruit is not aware how much he or she is changing. George Orwell understood that successful manipulation is "subtle and covert" (Singer 1996). The appearance of a benign Big Brother is the best way to ultimately control someone. Most people do not respond to overt efforts of persuasion.

That's not the only part of the formula the Truthers fall into. Check out the "Sacred Science", "Loaded Language", and "Doctrine over Person" sections. They don't fit the entire profile yet, but they're getting there.

I suspect that O'Donnell doesn't know that "Conner" is an outspoken homophobe.
