OHIO (AP) - RichardG, pro-gun advocate at the JREF forums, posted yet another anecdote regarding a person using a firearm to defend themselves on Friday. Contacted at his home, RichardG stated that he could not help himself.

"I know that anecdotes are not really evidence. I mean, if some guy came up and told me that his cousin was abducted by space aliens I wouldn't really belive in aliens, you know? But when I see a story like this I just can't help myself."

When it was pointed out to RichardG that his postings are on a site dedicated to skeptical and critical thinking, his expression only became more pained. "I know, I know" he said. "But they have all these loons who want to take away my guns! They can't see reason! I have a constitutional right to my arsenal and I NEED it, don't you see? If I didn't have my guns, my home would be invaded every other week! Why give criminals that opportunity! And these stories PROVE THAT!!! CAN"T YOU SEE?!?!?!"

At this point, RichardG, still foaming at the mouth, does a methodical check of the 17 weapons about his person and seems to calm down. "Sorry about that." he says. "Now you can see what these other people do to me. I have to post these stories. I have no choice".

And with that, he continues to scour online news sites for the next home intruder repelled story for his next thread.

After Thanz broke this story Richard G was offered a high level position at the Drudge Report.

Unfortunately, since someone had already responded to the thread, Richard was nowhere to be seen.

I read somewhere, that anecdotal evidence is usually adequate enough to prove most theories.
