British readers of this forum who are jealous of the glowing reports of Richard Dawkins' appearance at TAM3 might like a heads-up on this:

Bath Literature Festival website

Saturday 26th March

Richard Dawkins: Evolution and the Beginning of Life

Leading contemporary evolutionist Richard Dawkins and his wife Lalla Ward take us on a pilgrimage back in time to the dawn of life on earth. This four billion year journey, published as The Ancestor's Tale, will make you radically rethink the very meaning of your own existence.

Dawkins is an excellent speaker, I heard him at the Cheltenham Literature Festival a few years ago. His wife Lalla Ward assisted him on that occasion also, by reading extracts from books and articles. I managed not to be too distracted by the fact that Romana was on stage :)

Dawkins has no official website but this unofficial one is endorsed by him.

It gives some more info on his speaking engagements.

Also, a broadcast of Richard Dawkins on the City Arts & Lectures radio program will take place on February 12, 2005 from 9:00 am to 10:00 am Pacific Standard time. (Noon to 1:00 pm Eastern US time)
Richard Dawkins -- The guest is evolutionary scientist Richard Dawkins, in conversation with his wife, actress Lalla Ward. His latest book borrows the structure of the "Canterbury Tales" to describe the pilgrimage of evolution.
It can be listened to on RealPlayer at http://www.kcho.org/KCHO-KFPR1.ram on February 12, 2005 from 9:00 am to 10:00 am Pacific Standard time.

Was I the only one who was expecting a picture of Richard Dawkins in a bath?

You may have been, but I like the way you think. :D

The possibility of someone misinterpreting the title of the thread did occur to me when I created it, but I decided to leave it and give those people a laugh :D

BTW I've just noticed I put the wrong date in my OP. This talk is on Saturday 28th February, not Saturday 28th March. So you haven't got long to get your tickets.
