A great deal of my money is invested in businesses that help people stay healthy and energetic. Suppose people found out that being dead poses no real obstacle to the pursuit of high-intensity activities? I could be financially ruined.

Furthermore, it's not as though dead people can't compete with the living. We only ask for a level playing field. Just give us a chance and we can exhibit any paranormal abilities that are exhibited by the living.
