The voting options of national politicians have changed from shades of liberal and conservative or anything else and become either Republican and Democrat. Kind of a dual conspiracy, determining who will run and how the winners will vote.

And a third conspiracy that both parties, supposedly at odds ideologically,
have the same financial roots and outlook of financial self preservation.

In a poker tournament, when one player is all in and two other players are active in the pot, it is common for the two players with chips left to "check it down", or check on each round of betting through the end of the hand. Unless they explicitly communicate an agreement about checking it down, this is not collusion.

The third conspiracy is the same type of unspoken collusion. Rule of the road for mega rich party backers.

This *drumroll* is not a conspiracy or collusion. Its well known and documented that in two party systems, both parties have a vested interest in maintaining the status quo when it comes to electoral politics. As such, they often act together to put up institutional barriers to block third parties (via campaign finance and other legislation) - political scientists have well documented over the years and there are dozens if not hundreds of papers and books that analyze this phenomena. Its no secret, the "working together" it takes to maintain a two party system happens quite openly, and its well documented by scholars. Thus, no conspiracy or collusion.

This is why our electoral system is set up as winner take all in all major elections, and not proportional representation - both parties have ensured that voting third party is seen as a "wasted" vote. But whether or not one likes these facts are not, there is nothing conspiratorial about them. Its just the way our system works.

Also, lets debunk the "financial interest" conspiracy while were at it. The evidence shows again and again that most politicians make their money after they leave office via consulting, lobbying, going on the speech circuit, and book deals. They have no financial interest in permanently staying in office - in fact, if all they ever cared about is money, most of them would be resigning after a term or two and go on to make the real money.

LightinDarkness said it well. You'd be a lot better off, CM, if you could lose the conspiracy concept almost entirely.

The fact that Dems and Reps work to the same ends results from the fact that most of their money comes from the same source. It's not a conspiracy nor is it hidden very much - well except for the new SuperPACs.

The battle these days is the advocates for the status quo against those arguing that substantial changes in the country's governance are required. I can't see much hope for change.

But you guys miss the point that the John Birch Society tries to make. It's not a conspiracy. That's the word that you guys use. Just because you guys know about it and it's not a secret doesn't mean it's not a conspiracy.

The fact is that there have always been these forces in collusion to destroy the American way of life. Call them Communism; call them the NWO, but those who really know their name call them Da' Juuuz'

Here's Congressman Larry McDonald talking about it just before the Russians and the Americans conspired to murder him.

This is also a pretty cool video of Larry

Wow. At about 3 minutes and 40 seconds in McDonald said there was a conspiracy to build up our communist enemies. That was in 1983 when Reagan was POTUS. 30 years later look at Communist China.

Now that is/was a CT to, as they say, Beat All Getout.

Congressman Larry McDonald took on Pat Buchanan and Tom Braden in the previous videos.

No wonder Braden was so FLATULENT and rammy over the communist conspiracy aspect.

Consequently, Bradens efforts were guided toward promoting anti-Soviet left-wing elements in groups like AFL-CIO. Eventually, despite heavy resistance from British and French allies, the CIA made the leap toward recruiting anti-Soviet communists followers of Trotskyism, especially in the international labor unions. Thus, from 1951 to 1954, the CIA provided $1,000,000 a year, through Braden, to Irving Brown, a moderate Labor leader, and eventually recruited as a CIA officer, Jay Lovestone, a noted communist follower of Trotskyism, helping him financially to run his network with ($1,600,000 in 1954).[4]

These various programs eventually coalesced into a larger coordinated campaign to influence international organizations especially through media relations. In this regard, while head of the IOD, Braden played an important role in formally establishing this campaign as Operation Mockingbird. Many years later he revealed his role in these events:

"If the director of CIA wanted to extend a present, say, to someone in Europe — a Labour leader — suppose he just thought, This man can use fifty thousand dollars, he's working well and doing a good job — he could hand it to him and never have to account to anybody.... There was simply no limit to the money it could spend and no limit to the people it could hire and no limit to the activities it could decide were necessary to conduct the war — the secret war.... It was a multinational. Maybe it was one of the first. Journalists were a target, labor unions a particular target — that was one of the activities in which the communists spent the most money".[5]

As can be clearly seen Bladen's antics were a vehicle towards today's nonrepresentational, of the electorates interests, elected government.

AS IN Republican and Democrat - Backer Collusion.
