I am at a loss, as to how to start this thread. A dear friend of mine has come to conclude that what is posited on the links below are the only effective redress.

It seems to me like the same old freeman on the land promises I’ve been seeing for years. Perhaps with a more smiley face on it.

I have started this thread to both introduce my friend to this forum, the JREF and the wealth of knowledge on this particular subject that undoubtedly has been demonstrated before here.

Not much else I can say at this point other than that I have E-mailed my friend with the links to this tread, the JREF and the forum.

There is only one noteworthy difference between this and the traditional Freeman On The Land garbage. Normally, the FOTL crowd preaches that this is the way it works right now. In other words, say the magic words in court, and there is a 100% chance that you will go free (HINT: you won't). On the other hand, your links imply a group of people who would like to live in such a world, and acknowledge that they don't.

It's a subtle is-ought distinction, and they blur the line in ways I won't go into now, but it's still fundamentally identical and philosophically vapid.

Most freeman on the land stuff is discussed in the Conspiracy Theory forum.

Well I do apologize, though I'd rather see this thread focus more on the political effectiveness of such rather than their conspiratorial underpinnings.

ETA:
However, I do grant that any future discussion might devolve to the exclusion of all else. At such point I would have no problem with a mod moving the thread but for now I'd like to take a stab at this here.

Interesting point and distinction, one that I actually hadn't noticed till you mentioned it. The only thing is that they are living to some degree in that world now (or at least trying to or more specifically preparing to). Though I agree other than that I can see no fundamental differences.

They appear to be Christian separatists as well.

Does anybody think batcrapcrazy inappropriate without much further data?
