I just came across this yesterday - James Randi interviewed for the Nerdist podcast. It's from March, but I don't recall seeing any reference to it before.

(Skip past the first couple of minutes of chat before the interview starts.) Some talk about An Honest Liar, the Alpha project, Randi's starting as a magician, Johnny Carson, Peter Popoff, Uri Geller and skepticism. I guess you could say those are the usual topics, but a lot of the details I hadn't heard before.

Thanks, I'll listen in the next day or two.

I also highly recommend the documentary An Honest Liar, which is a fascinating look at Randi and and his personal/professional life. One bombshell in particular that I was unaware of until watching the doc:

Did you know Randi used to be a Magician???

With everything going on in his life over the past several years it's a little more understandable why he felt the need to cut the old JREF forum loose.
