Radiation detected near N. Korean border

Yahoo news reports this morning that high levels of radiation in the form of Xenon gas have been detected near the North Korean border:

The Koreans are claiming a breakthrough in regards to fusion technology, maintaining it's for energy research. As no one in the highly-advanced technological countries has been able to do this with any success, speculation is more along the lines of thermonuclear bomb research.

This too seems unlikely as so far the N. Koreans have not shown much expertise in even producing a fission bomb.
Other speculations indicate a leak from research plants in Russia or China....

Worrisome still.
