The rabbit cage arsonist has committed a possibly fatal slip of the keyboard.

I'm not going to discuss the 650,000 figure, except to say that it strikes me as grossly overinflated. But it's Spooked's claim that this is "the scale of the holocaust" that caught my eye.

Does he know that 650,000 is nowhere near 6 MILLION? Or does he not believe that 6 million died?
 
since he does refer to it as "the holocaust" im going to assume hes just an idiot and not a denier (although it wouldnt surprise me if i was wrong)
 
The main problem is not so much over numbers than over intent. Likening the intents of US government and its allies to those of the nazis is the sickening part of the analogy. Last that I checked, and although I'm very much against the war in Iraq and despise those who devised and justify it, there is no plan that I cand find about wiping out the Iraqi from the face of the Earth ...
 
Not only does the number seem a bit high, but how many of the dead are foreign terrorists? How many were killed by the insurgency?

It is with in an order of magnitude.
 
The survey was based upon interviewing households that had lost family members. No foriegners should have been included in the survey. Also, the report shows that the majority of the killings were caused by Iraqi's killing other Iraqi's.

An order of magnitude is a vast difference. That's like saying that if I kill 1 person, then its the same as if I killed 10.

Not to mention that the Iraqi government has its estimates at 40,000. So I'm not convinced the number has any validity whatsoever.
 
Ray guns! When you're insulted by people like that, it really doesn't count as an insult.
