I'm working on a debunking of Killtown's McClatchey photo analysis. Does anyone know the reported windspeed in New York on 9/11? If you can find it, I'd be extremely grateful.

I ran a few searches for past weather reports, but didn't find anything.

I'm sure the weather forecasters would keep records though. Might just be a phone call to a forecasting company to find out.

The McClatchey photo was Shanksville, wasn't it? The wind there was light that day, 5 mph I think. It's discussed in the Killtown photo-analysis thread from hell, along with most everything else under the sun.

ETA: Unless you're comparing the propagation of the cloud with the cloud from the Towers, which would be a pretty good comparison (same source, jet fuel for both)

Yep, you nailed it. I'm comparing Flight 93 to Flight 175.

You should be able to find it from these people: http://www.noaa.gov/pastweather.html

You might have to phone them or email them but I'm pretty sure that they will have detailed weather data (including windspeed) you're looking for.

Huuuuh? How is it even possible to determinate the windspeed
within that photo? I mean there could be no wind at all in the first
5 minutes after the crash. Average windspeeds says nothing about
the windspeed and/or direction at the time when she made the photo. :boggled:

Dontcha know that in woowooland the wind always blows at a constant speed. They don't do gusts.... (too complicated to imagine)

:D

Killtowns research is satire, isn´t it? This can´t be serious from a guy
who is able to set up websites but is too dumb to misunderstand the
behaviour of wind.

Who bought him his computer? It´s like giving a loaded gun to a chimp. :covereyes
