Merged Pterry's death announced / Terry Pratchett dead at 66

I will raise a glass to his genius tonight.

I did not realise it was that imminent.

Sad now. Very sad. I mean, I know I didn't know the bloke but I sort of felt I did. Funny that.

Total Embuggerance. :(

Very sad.

The world just lost someone very special.

I have about the last 5 or 6 of his books still to read. I don't like the idea of not having any more that I haven't read, so when I've read those....... ho hum.

I think there's only 3 other famous people who have died in the last 20 ish years that I've felt any kind of loss, as their works have been so enjoyable. Mr Pratchett has given so much joy to so many.

Was the Alzheimers expected to be terminal so soon? I note no cause of death was mentioned, and he did have a high profile position in favour of euthanasia.

Gimpyblog, formerly of this parish, has said, "better than Wodehouse," and I find it hard to disagree.

Very sad news.

I'm bereft.

"DON'T WORRY BLUESJNR, I'VE A RATHER NICE PLACE RESERVED FOR HIM"

Just finished Going Postal a few hours ago. Written 4 years before the financial meltdown, the sentence
When Banks Fail, It Is Seldom Bankers Who Starve.
seems quite harsher in hindsight.

RIP Sir Terry.

Just saw the news, the article I read posted his last tweets.

AT LAST, SIR TERRY, WE MUST WALK TOGETHER.

Terry took Death’s arm and followed him through the doors and on to the black desert under the endless night.

The End.
