Oh boy, I just saw this on Yahoo news

I'm sickened.

And you have to PAY to hear what John said.

It's not even funny.

Yeah, Imagine John Lennons ghost coming to kick their a$$.

oh poopers! You are right!

These people are scum scum scum

The only thing is that I would hope Yoko would sue their butts if they tried that.

No they will be on to the next celebrity.

He would so NOT come back for pay per view.

Who next, Ghandi?

What's worse is that some people will believe it, and buy it. Then Michael Jackson will buy the rights to it.

BTW MJ has to sell some of his rights now, but will probably sell them to Warner Bros.

Soon they'll say he's written a song from beyond the grave and try to record and market it.
If they could actually produce some song of Lennon-quality (although admittedly, not everything he wrote was a stroke of genius), they would really have good arguments on their side.

Otherwise, they will shoot themselves in the foot, and I think they know it, so there will be no post-humous songs.

Wait, wasn't there already a medium who said they did that?

I remember reading, a while ago now, that some medium had claimed that Lennon had received the prestigious job of directing the heavenly choir, and was very pleased about it! I'm sure Paul must be bummed at that one. :)

The medium had also produced new lyrics and music that Lennon had "channeled" to her.

You might be referring to Linda Polley. I saw a documentary, "Where Has Eternity Gone" (2002) about a couple in Fargo, North Dakota. The woman, Linda Polley, claimed to channel Lennon. She sang a couple of channeled tunes while playing a little Casio-type keyboard--and let's just say that death has not been good for John's songwriting skills!

It's a funny, sad, weird little film.

From the sound of that music(:)), I'd say the spirit they got on the line was a completely different John Lennon... Crossed wires at the prayer exchange, no doubt.

The embarrassing thing is "John" says through the psychics "Don't believe these frauds!"
NOW how are they gonna report THAT?
heh

Don't watch it! But if you want to know what happened, Penn Jillette is giving a blow-by-blow (possibly including the 'new song') on his radio show the following day. He won't be watching it either, but he's paying someone to do it and then come on the show to talk about it.

You can get his show free on iTunes (usually takes a day or so to appear) - probably by Wed.

Soon they'll say he's written a song from beyond the grave and try to record and market it.
Exactly!

But the problem would then be deciding to whom the rights of the song belong!

If the ghost is really Lennon, then his estate would get the royalties, correct? Therefore, in order to make money from the song, the psychics would have to prove that the ghost was not John Lennon after all.

Catch-22!
