In Sacramento's ongoing local-missing-hottie story:
"We had two different psychics tell us that she had been placed into a creek bed. Both picked the same creek bed. Both picked the same location," said Wilson's step-father Pat Boyd, a detective with the San Jose Police Department. "It seemed like good information."

I'll assume that Detective Boyd's involvement is unofficial, since San Jose is two hundred miles from Placer county. Still, prepare for the inevitable "police employ psychics" claims.

Sigh. Will they never learn? Our forum member (and a highly respected one, at that) Kelly, runs this organisation - http://www.projectjason.org/
Ask her what she feels about "psychic detectives".................

I have a one word answer for that: GROAN

Actually, I had another one word answer, but I can't say it.

"But after nearly five hours of looking Saturday, crews covering both sides of the location found nothing tied to Wilson, Boyd said."

After this, why would it even come into play that it "seemed like good information"?

I'm wondering if the searchers were volunteers or paid personnel. (Wasted resources regardless.)

Sonuva....I can't believe these (rule8) (rule8) (rule8) mother-(rule8) (rule8)s can get away with this crap.

You'd think we'd see more of police departments billing them for wasted time, or families suing these vultures for "emotional distress," or some such.

Reputable search organizations do not perform a search based upon psychic tips. I wonder who actually initiated it.

Isn't it about time people started suing psychics for mental anguish?
Maybe that would stop them wasting everyone's time.

If I were a detective and a 'psychic' would show me the location of a murder victim, I'd arrest the 'psychic'.;)
