Psychic TV shows are irrevocably beyond parody thanks to 'Three Mediums' cast-off Tony Stockwell essentially ripping off the format of comedy fake psychic Shirley Ghostman's "Spirit Academy", with this load of old balls;

He's no Sir Alan Sugar.

Thanks to Charlie Brooker's 'You Have Been Watching' review/panel show for pointing this out to me, and for making the excellent point - if Stockwell is really psychic, couldn't he just, you know, psychically evaluate his 'apprentice'?

This is fascinating stuff. Have a look at this one;

We're seeing people instructed in cold reading techniques - have a look at 1:20 - Stockwell tells her not to ask questions, because it 'takes the power away', and 'gives her the chance to correct me'. If the information were sound, it wouldn't matter how it was phrased. The phrasing matters because it's actually a way of modifying an educated guess into something specific to the sitter. It's fascinating stuff, and makes me wonder that Stockwell isn't as cynical as I thought. He might really believe in himself.

"Psychic work is-is the new Rock and Roll" (?) - One of the most absurd statements I've heard from a "psychic."

This is "Britain's Got Talent" meets Harry Potter mixed in with a homeopathic dose of the "X-Men."

Having Producers means money is to be made here. That leaves me wondering, are his intents as pure as he claims? Or did something develop after I stopped watching when the lady picked the "Star"?
