Protesters Stage 'Die-In' To Simulate Victims' Suffering

Hmmmm. Wonder if any of the protestors will stage a mock demonstration of the suffering Saddam has imposed upon his own people. Naw....guess not. It would be far too grotesque, vile and shocking for anyone to view, let alone believe...

So are they going to simulate eating a meal and getting medical treatment to show what Iraq will be like after the conquest?

Ladyhawk and corplinx I doubt it...

cause these protestors seem to be nothing more than a bunch of unemployed jackasses trying to start trouble.

North Korea, China, Countries throughout Africa, etc. There is suffering and oppression all over the world.

Protestors it seems do not have time for the millions murdered, castrated and oppressed throughout the world.

They do have time to protest the United States even though we are taking great pains to avoid civilian casualties. If the US had really wanted to kill and hurt civilians there would be tens of thousands dead today and not 3 (news story on MSNBC this morning)

Yesterday at one of the local protests, one protestor was injured after a scuffle with the cops. One of the local news stations was covering the protest, and zoomed in on a woman sitting down, her face entirely covered with blood- it looked like a very serious injury. The reporter asked the woman if she was OK, what was on her face- the woman giggled and said "stage blood". Apparently some protestors here were covering themselves with stage blood to show empathy with Iraqi victims. However, had the reporter not asked the question, I would have assumed that this woman and others with her were seriously beat up by the police.

I do not understand the point of this particular gesture. Is it so the cameras would broadcast gory images, and some people would attribute it police brutality? Why do this?
