Premonitions of Food

After having spent some time mulling over the 'Premonitions of Death' thread, I thought I should mention a startling thing that happened to me a few months ago:

I had to visit a photography store on a street that I'd never been to before. While I was driving there, I suddenly developed an incredible craving for chocolate cake and the feeling stayed with me as I drove. When I reached my destination, I parked across the street from the store I had to visit. Imagine my surprise and delight when I got out of the car and saw that I had parked right in front of a cake shop that had a mouth-watering chocolate cake prominently on display in the window.

Needless to say, I bought a slice. It was sinful - or as jambo372 would put it, satanic.

The other day I was walking down 7th Avenue in Manhattan. I was thinking about sex. Just then a gorgeous model walked by. Astounding!

Uncanny.

Just for any California residents...

I have this same psychic experience every time I drive through Solvang...

True story:

Some years ago, I was playing around with the create-your-own-fighter mode on the Rival Schools videogame. I created one called "Tim" with red sticky-up hair. Imagine my surprise when a few months later, one of the contestants in Big Brother was called Tim and was famous for his red sticky-up hair!

"A lot o' people don't realize what's really going on. They view life as a bunch o' unconnected incidents 'n things. They don't realize that there's this, like, lattice o' coincidence that lays on top o' everything. Give you an example; show you what I mean: suppose you're thinkin' about a plate o' shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o' shrimp out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconciousness."

That's not a premonition! You brought Tim into existence. And using retropsychokineses you gave him a family and a history.

Psi (may I call you that?), I haven't read this quote before. Is it a famous one?

Ugh. So Ersby is responsible for Tim?

Ersby, spank yourself.

Sorry, I can't control what my psychicness ordains. I am a mere conduit through which it flows. I'm just a humble servant (and I pity anyone who isn't a humble servant).

It's from the movie, Repo Man. The quote is spoken by the character called Miller. I immediately thought of the "plate 'o' shrimp" scene when I read the thread title. That movie is full of great quotes.
